Response from My Letter to Senator Jack Reed
Below is copy of an email I just got back from Senator Jack Reed.
This shows 2 things:
1) They DO respond if you contact them in the proper format.
2) Proof I am doing my part ..... are you?
Dear Mr. Forsberg:
Thank you for contacting me regarding the National Ocean and Great Lakes Policy Interim Report released by the Ocean Policy Task Force. I appreciate learning of your thoughts on this matter.
As you may know, on June 12, 2009, President Obama issued a memorandum creating the Interagency Ocean Policy Task Force, led by the White House Council on Environmental Quality. The Task Force is charged with researching and developing recommendations for a national policy that ensures the protection, maintenance, and restoration of our oceans, coasts, and the Great Lakes. On September 10, 2009, as required by the President's memorandum, the Task Force published its Interim Report. You can access this report and other information on the Task Force at http://www.whitehouse.gov/ administration/eop/ceq/ initiatives/oceans.
On your behalf, I have taken the liberty of sharing your thoughts on the Interim Report with the Task Force. Please be assured that I will carefully review any response that I receive with your comments in mind and forward any information that may be useful to you.
Again, thank you for contacting me, and do not hesitate to write, call, or visit my website, www.reed.senate.gov, in the future for information regarding this or any other matter.
Sincerely,
Jack Reed
United States Senator
