Suggested Daily Reading

I was told one day years ago by a very successful friend of mine that we working people are good at our jobs, but have no idea what business we were in, or what our business is.

Perplexed, I asked what he meant (he is a self made gazillionaire).

He then began educating me by asking questions like how big is your business?
I told him what I grossed for the year, and he asked how much of a market share I had, which I could not answer, etc. He grilled me with about 40 questions.

After what seemed like an eternity, he ended by saying,
"you see, that's why people like you are ripe for the picking by people like me”
he went on to say,

“I know more about your business than you do, and therefor I can easily take it over and hire people like you to work for me."
(he is a “get in your face” kind of guy)

That little conversation permanently changed my life and the way I do business.

Why do I share this?
Because you need to know what is going on in your industry and reading is one of the best ways to keep informed.

Saving Seafood sends out a daily email with all sorts of fishery news in it.
I read it every day.

Go here and check it out -  Saving Seafood
I highly recommend subscribing to it.

Your fishing future depends on it.
